It’s the final week of the 2022 Major League Baseball regular season and the Atlanta Braves all but clinched the National League East division, overtaking the New York Mets with a three-game sweep at Truist Park over the weekend.
On WISE Sports Radio, we discuss the Braves’ chances at repeating as World Series champions, Aaron Judge’s continuing pursuit of 62 home runs with four games remaining, Shohei Ohtani’s big payday, and local (Sylva, North Carolina) product Cal Raleigh clinching a playoff spot for the Seattle Mariners with a home run Friday night.

If you didn’t see Raleigh’s walk-off home run to put the Mariners in the postseason, check it out here.
Just as good is TV play-by-play announcer Dave Sims’s “Hey now! Hey now! Hey now!” call of the moment. He’s never called the Mariners going to the playoffs before, becoming the team’s TV voice in 2007. It’s too bad Sims won’t get to call Seattle’s postseason games.
You can stream The WISE Guys from 3 to 6 p.m. ET at wisesportsradio.com (courtesy of Mars Hill University) or the TuneIn app. Locally in the Asheville area, dial up 1310 or 970 AM and 102.9 FM. And thanks to Blue Mountain Pizza (a favorite when I used to live nearby) for sponsoring this week’s segment.
